Last month, a new café popped up in Five Points South. This locally-owned spot, dubbed Adam & Eve Café, serves a wide variety of goodies from fresh-squeezed juice and coffee drinks to tasty Vegan food and fresh-baked pastries.

We stopped by Adam & Eve Café to check out what it has to offer and to learn a little more about Five Points South’s newest resident.

Adam & Eve Café is locally-owned by Yemeni father and son duo Sam and Sal.

The restaurant is currently in its soft-opening phase, meaning it’s operating on shorter hours and a smaller menu while they work on staffing the café.

According to Sal, the plan is for Adam & Eve Café to soon be open until midnight on weeknights and possibly even 2AM on weekends—providing the downtown Birmingham community with another much-needed late-night option.

So, what can you find on the menu at Adam & Eve? They offer a little bit of everything, including:

Fresh-squeezed juices
Smoothies + Acai bowls

Among the most impressive things I noticed about Adam & Eve is its use of fresh, whole foods.

If you’re on a plant-based diet, this café offers several options including several vegan sandwiches and pastries.

Today, I tried the Citrus Joy Juice–a blend of apple, parsley, celery, kale, spinach, cucumber and ginger. I loved that their juices are made to order, so you can see the fresh fruits and veggies that go into your drink.
