Let us introduce you to The Foundry, which has helped restore hope and rebuild lives through addiction recovery programs since 1971. 

2024 was a remarkable year for The Foundry in its efforts to impact Greater Birmingham. Take a look at just how much of an impact they’ve made over the past year.

Providing shelter to those in need of a warm and safe place to stay is one of the most crucial services a non-profit can offer. The Foundry provides shelter at five different locations around the Greater Birmingham Area.

In 2024, The Foundry provided 85,154 nights of shelter for the members of the community who need it most.

The Foundry guided 169 individuals through their recovery program in 2024, an astounding number that represents a huge positive impact on not just the lives of the graduates but of all their families and friends as well.

Through education, spiritual guidance, dedicated counseling, and support that continues beyond recovery and graduation, The Foundry hopes to not only help its graduates rebuild their lives but to also go forward with the confidence that they’ll have support and resources available to them whenever they need it in the future.

Recovery is a difficult process that no one should go through alone. That’s why The Foundry offers counseling to provide those in their program with crucial guidance and support.

19,574 case management hours

Those whose lives have been impacted by addiction face many challenges as they attempt to rebuild their lives, including some that involve legal issues.

The Foundry provides legal assistance for enrollees in its program, ensuring that they have the support they need to get a fresh start.

Working is a key part of getting back on your feet and regaining your dignity and your sense of self and The Foundry works with employers around the Birmingham area to find employment opportunities for its enrollees and graduates.

The Foundry’s employment readiness training equips those who have been chronically unemployed due to their addiction struggles with the skills needed to obtain and retain employment.

The Foundry provides three meals a day to anyone enrolled in their recovery program, ensuring that the source of their next meal is no longer a concern.
