A new Mexican restaurant is coming this spring to the Lakeview District. Photographer and artist Miller Mobley announced his new venture, called the El Royale Cafe, on social media.

Mobley describes the restaurant as being inspired by authentic classic Mexican cafes in California and Texas and is scheduled to open in Spring of 2025.

The El Royale will occupy the space previously home to Carrigan’s Beer Garden on 6th Ave S in the Lakeview District. No specific menu has been announced but the post promises “margaritas in the shade, the warm glow of comfort, and sizzling fajitas from the café.”

Mobley is also the owner of Slim’s Pizzeria in Crestline.
