Community Food Bank of Central Alabama has been dedicated to fighting hunger for over 40 years, with a simple mission: to feed our neighbors in need.

With the help of your local sports teams, we can fight food insecurity within our own community.

“Our mission is to feed our neighbors facing hunger here in Central Alabama so when the BHM 5 comes together and allows the fans and community to come together and donate the much needed food for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity it is huge especially during the holidays.”

Ginger Pegues, Director of Development, Community Food Bank of Central Alabama

Food for Goals: Why it matters

No one in Alabama should go hungry, and the solution lies in the collective efforts of the community.

By donating, volunteering or raising awareness, everyone can play a part in ensuring no one goes without the food they need. That is why these five teams came together and made a long-lasting impact.

“This means a lot to the Squadron were all about giving back to our community in a meaningful way and this is an opportunity for us to partner with the four other major league teams in the city and for us to really come together for a need in our community for food insecurity and to partner with the food bank. It’s just a wonderful partnership for us.”

Leslie Claybrook, General Manager, Birmingham Squadron
