I looked at all of your responses and picked out the most popular suggestions (in no particular order). Keep reading to see if your suggestion made the list.

1. An aquarium at Brookwood Mall

You remember our April Fools joke? (Bham Now)

Most of you said what we’re all thinking with this one. I think we can all agree that this is no longer just a want, but an absolute NEED.

2. High-speed rail system to surrounding cities and states

One thing about Birmingham that I personally love is the proximity to super cool cities like Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville and Mobile.

Many of y’all agree and suggested a rail system that can take us to and from these awesome spots.

3. Mini golf courses

For all of you who suggested this one, I’m right there with you. Nothing makes a city just a little bit cooler like an awesome mini golf course.

4. More hang-out and lounge spaces

While we do have some amazing hang-out spaces here in The Magic City, many of y’all want to see MORE.

As someone who loves a good cocktail, live music, hanging with friends and fabulous conversation, you’ve got my vote!

5. A ferris wheel

Many of you suggested that we need a ferris wheel in downtown Birmingham.

Not only would this be a blast, but it would also be a cool addition to our beautiful skyline.

6. Jazz club

Last but not least, some more jazz clubs/lounges.

Birmingham has a rich entertainment history, and I think something like this would definitely be a new favorite of mine.
