The last thing on owner Todd Payne’s mind was an ice cream shop seated in his hometown, Warrior, until his daughter saw a plot of land and thought it looked ideal.

As a construction safety director and Warrior City Councilman, Todd worked to acquire the property in 2022 and the rest was history.

Now, the shop is open and serving up scoops left and right. Plus, it’s named after his daughter, who gave him the inspiration to add to the Warrior community.

“Honestly, an ice cream shop never came to mind until a few years ago. When we purchased the property, my daughter, was the one who said it would be a ‘cool’ place for an ice cream shop.

She was 8 at the time. She is now 10 and claims to be the owner! Technically she is, the shop is named after her.”

Monroe’s on Main aims to give customers a seasonal menu that is equally dynamic and sweet. Here are just a few of their creations:

  • Slushies
  • Seasonal shakes
  • Malts
  • Espresso shakes
  • Waffle bowls
  • Floats

“My biggest inspiration for the shop is community engagement and my own family. We strive to be a safe place for families to come together and enjoy their time with each other.”

Grab yourself a sweet treat

Looking to spoil yourself with a sweet treat? Monroe’s on Main is the perfect place to grab a custom shake and enjoy the retro vibes the shop has to offer.

Todd added the artistic features in order to create a family-oriented space to be enjoyed by everyone, however, their contributions don’t stop at the door of the ice cream parlor.

The Paynes use their business to give back to the community. Check out their volunteer events coming up this month here.

“We love the City of Warrior. We are excited to see what happens in the future and hope to become a staple here. We would like to thank the community for their support.”
