The history behind Redmont Distilling Company in Birmingham
Back in 2015, Redmont Distilling Company became the very first legal, licensed distillery in Birmingham since prohibition.
Recognizing the abundance of breweries already thriving in The Magic City, the team was inspired to do something different, and thus, Redmont Distilling Company was born.
Through trial and error, Jonathan and his partners concocted their premium vodka and gin to be unlike any others Alabama had ever seen.

Meet master distiller Jonathan Guidry
Born and raised in Alabama, Jonathan Guidry embodies the true spirit of a blue-collar man through and through.
Connections he made from his background in construction opened the door for him to eventually leave his job at Brasfield & Gorrie and partner with the Redmont Distilling team full-time.
“When the opportunity arose to come on board and get things up and running, I thought why not. I helped with the whole buildout, got all the equipment put together and here we are all these years later.”

Spirits with an old-fashioned Southern flair
Redmont Distilling produces two popular Alabama spirits—Redmont Vodka and Vulcan Gin.
Birmingham’s former iron ore mining along with the iconic Red Mountain and one-of-a-kind Vulcan statue all played key roles in shaping the brand’s identity.
From the distilling process to packaging, Redmont Distilling is deeply rooted in The Magic City’s rich history and uniqueness.
