If youโ€™re looking for more ways to get involved this holiday season, weโ€™ve got you covered. We’ve got some amazing nonprofits for you to check out, so keep reading for the best places to give and receive some holiday love in The Magic City this year.

1. The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army of Greater Birmingham will be serving Thanksgiving lunch to their shelter residents as well as the Birmingham community. If you’re looking for an amazing place to volunteer over the holiday’s, I personally recommend checking them out.

2. Faith Chapel

Faith Chapel is giving back to the community by hosting a Thanksgiving food giveaway and all are welcome to participate. They’ll be giving out all your holiday needs from fresh produce to turkeys!

3. Community Kitchens

Community Kitchens serves warm, delicious meals every day to those in need here in Birmingham and are always welcoming volunteers. Their mission is especially important during the colder months!

4. Grace Klein | FeedBHM

Grace Klein is the jack of all trades when it comes to nonprofit. Here in Birmingham, they give back in a BIG way by offering a variety of support systems to help feed and uplift the community and beyond.

5. First Light Shelter

First Light Shelter provides resources to the homeless men, women and families of Birmingham. They are always welcoming volunteer applications to help out with serving daily meals as well as several other events and activities (especially around the holidays).

Jimmie Hale Mission continuously serves the homeless and hurting of Birmingham. This holiday season, they are accepting Thanksgiving volunteers to help them reach their goal of giving 10,000 meals to those in need!
