Hillside Music & Que on Highway 31 in Vestavia Hills has closed.

According to the Vestavia Voice, the eatery also provided a local venue for live music shuttered in late October.

Owner Skip Davis told the publication that the current economic climate made it difficult to run a family business.

Restaurant rebranded in July

Located at  633 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia Hills, 35216, the restaurant formerly called the Pig & Palm was rebranded in July. One of the big changes was a redesigned menu that included a wide variety of burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and much more.

Numerous single and duo musical acts also played in the space.

Despite the transformation, the business ceased operation months later.
