Homewood Chamber—Three Sheets
Homewood for the holidays (Jacob Blankenship / Bham Now)

Downtown Homewood is already one of my favorite places to shop, but being there during the holidays makes it all the more magical.

In fact, we headed down there to check out some of the local storefronts and found the perfect gifts for everyone on our lists.

Here are seven (of many) of the shops we’re visiting at Downtown Homewood’s Holiday Open House on Thursday, November 7.

1. Trak Shak

A runner’s paradise, Trak Shak is fully stocked with the hottest running shoes.

They have tons of options for all ages and styles, and to make sure you find the best fit for your feet, their friendly associates provide free fittings every time you visit.

2. Fab’rik

For the fashion lover in your life, you’ve got to check out Fab’rik.

I was drawn to all the sweaters and posh holiday party styles they had. I’m already eager to go back.

3. Alabama Goods

One of my favorite local spots—Alabama Goods. The popular Alabama-made specialty store carries clothes, pottery, food and more.

I went ahead and bought some handmade ornaments for my family.

4. Sikes

With a history dating back to 1955, Sikes Children’s Shoes has never waivered from quality, fashionable shoes and clothes.

Visit them this season to find the perfect holiday fit for your kiddos.

5. SoHo Retro

For the fellow mid-century modern fans out there, SoHo Retro is a must-visit.

They’ve got a mix of vintage, recreation and restorational pieces and is the perfect spot to find holiday gifts for someone special.

6. Three Sheets

As soon as I stepped into Three Sheets, I was mesmerized by the beautiful Christmas tree, seasonal decor and gifts. It took everything in me not to buy everything on the spot.

Three Sheets is known for luxury linens, bath accessories and decor, and it’s a home goods-lover’s dream come true.

I’m heading back on November 7 to snag myself a nativity scene. Join me?

7. Once Upon A Time

The most precious of the stores on this list, Once Upon A Time is a one-stop-shop for all things children.

From clothes and toys to special heirloom gifts, this classic children’s store offers unique items for the little ones in your life.
