According to Pelham’s City Manager Gretchen DiFante, the new eatery perfectly fits within the entertainment district boundaries.

“The vision for Pelham’s entertainment district was outlined in our comprehensive plan in 2019, and our elected officials and staff members have been working diligently with our outstanding partners to bring that vision to life.

As we continue to revitalize underutilized spaces (like the formerly vacant Canopy area, get rid of blighted areas (like the former Travel Lodge), and revitalize structures (like the log cabin where Mountain High is located), we know this area will offer the vibrant entertainment space our residents have been asking for.

We are grateful to John Michael Bodnar for his belief and continued investment in that vision for Pelham.”

Birmingham area’s 3rd Big Bad Breakfast

Known for its signature omelets and locally sourced ingredients, this will be the third Big Bad Breakfast in the Birmingham metro area.

“We’ve had great success with our Taco Mac location at the Canopy, and we’re excited to expand our presence there with Big Bad Breakfast. Pelham is a growing, busy community full of opportunity, and I believe the folks there will embrace a real southern breakfast place. We look forward to introducing the city to the Big Bad Breakfast experience soon.”

John Michael Bodnar, Partner, Fresh Hospitality

The new Pelham Big Bad Breakfast is expected to open in Spring 2025.
