Alabama Theatre announces exciting 2024 Holiday Film Series lineup

I don’t know about you, but the temperature drop this week has me thinking all about the upcoming holiday season—and there’s no better way to celebrate the holidays in the Magic City than with the Holiday Film Series at the Alabama Theatre!

See your favorite holiday movies at the 2024 Alabama Theatre Holiday Film Series

Held each year at the Alabama Theatre, the Holiday Film Series is an opportunity to see your favorite holiday classics—all in the unforgettable atmosphere of The Showplace of the South.

The 2024 Alabama Theatre Holiday Film Series runs from Friday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Dec. 22 and features a total of 19 films.

  • Tickets for all films are $15 each including sales tax and processing fees ($1 order fee will be added to the entire ticket order at checkout). Children ages two and under are free.
  • Seating is general admission—first come, first served.

Doors open one hour before showtime, and each screening will begin with a sing-along with the Alabama Theatre’s famous Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.

  • Saturday, December 14 at 2PM:  The Polar Express benefiting Kid One Transport
  • Saturday, December 14 at 7PM: Elf
  • Sunday, December 15 at 2PM: Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
  • Sunday, December 15 at 7PM: It’s a Wonderful Life
  • Monday, December 16 at 7PM: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
  • Tuesday, December 17 at 7PM: Home Alone
  • Wednesday, December 18 at 2PM: Cartoon Matinee Triple Feature
    • Includes A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
  • Wednesday, December 18 at 7PM: The Santa Clause
  • Thursday, December 19 at 2PM: Elf
  • Thursday, December 19 at 7PM: Die Hard
  • Friday, December 20 at 2PM: Home Alone
  • Friday, December 20 at 7PM: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
  • Saturday, December 21 at 2PM: A Christmas Story
  • Saturday, December 21 at 7PM: Elf
  • Sunday, December 22 at 2PM: White Christmas Sing-Along
  • Sunday, December 22 at 7PM: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
