Whether you’re trick-or-treating with the kiddos or heading out on your own, it’s important to stay in groups.

Look out for each other this Halloween and every other day!

2. Walk on well-lit streets + sidewalks

Birmingham is full of lively, family-friendly neighborhoods waiting to fill your treat-or-treat buckets with goodies. But walking on dark streets can make it difficult for drivers to see you.

Be safe by staying on sidewalks and away from busy streets and houses with no lights on.

3. Wear reflective or bright costumes

No Halloween in Birmingham is complete without a creative costume that reflects your personality.

I’m just as excited to let my fun side out this year, but it’s important to incorporate bright colors into your costume.

If vivid hues kill your costume’s vibe, try adding some reflective tape somewhere or keep the flashlight on your phone handy while you’re out and about.

Let us know where you’re spending this October 31 + have a happy Halloween, Birmingham!
