Slutty Vegan is returning to Woodlawn after closing temporarily this summer.

Named one of the best vegan fast food chains in the U.S. by Far and Wide, the restaurant is reopening on October 17 and holding a grand opening on the 19 at its previous location at 7 55th Pl S, Birmingham, AL 35212.

“We’re delighted to welcome Slutty Vegan back to Birmingham with its signature energy and celebrated menu. Congratulations to Reatta Myers-Hall as she steps in as franchise owner, bringing her vision to the brand while deepening its roots in our community. In a recent blogpost by Rev Birmingham, the placed-based revitalization economic development nonprofit featured 12 Woodlawn anchor businesses such as:

While Woodlawn Neighborhood President Jason Avery is excited to see the popular Atlanta-based restaurant back in the community, he stressed in a comment to Bham Now not to forget the area’s long-standing businesses.

“As Woodlawn’s community president, I am overly pleased that Slutty Vegan is reopening after a brief closure. They continue to be an anchor for our commercial district.

I will be the first one on the 17th to go grab a burger from Slutty Vegan, but let’s not forget about other businesses like Atra Capra, Voltron Printing, The Woodlawn Marketplace, Woodlawn Theatre, Jazz on 55th and countless more that make Woodlawn one of the most interesting neighborhoods of the 99.”
