Sad news, Birmingham—Urban Smoke Bar & Grill will be closing its location in Fairfield this Sunday, September 29th.

However, owner Draper Mason is on the lookout for a new space to reopen the popular eatery and sports hangout.

The ultimate hangout

Urban Smoke Bar & Grill is located in the middle of Bellview Plaza in Fairfield and has satisfied countless customers since it opened in 2019.

Beginning as a food truck owner, Draper Mason brought a variety of new and exciting flavors to a small town. His other culinary concept, Urban Parc, also offered the same vibe with a rooftop bar, fine dining room, extended bar, mini bowling alley and a gaming room.

Along with a casual bar and hub for watching sports and beyond, Urban Smoke gave Fairfield a taste of dynamic flavors with tasty wings, Philly cheese steaks, catfish combos and more.

Now, the owner is looking forward to continuing his passion for cooking by exploring other venues that can house his remarkable menu with plans on announcing the new location in the near future.

We spoke to Eddie Penny, the Mayor of Fairfield about losing such a huge part of the community.

Come visit Urban Smoke for the last time

This Sunday will be the last time to taste grilled flavors from the Fairfield location. Here’s a peek at their menu:

Smoke fries: crispy french fries with topped with steak or chicken, bell peppers, onions and provolone cheese
Urban philly: steak or chicken, bell peppers, onions, provolone cheese and smoke sauce
Polish sausage: beef sausage topped with a mildly spicy ground beef, bell peppers and onions
