A lot of people talk about thinking outside the box. Hannah Kinderknecht, who’s lived in Birmingham for 15 years, lives outside the box.

An adventurous solo traveler, she’s weaving a unique career path around the theme of getting outside of her comfort zone.

Keep reading for her story, including where she’s been and why she’s an avid fan of where she works now.

Hannah Kinderknect is Director of Marketing for several hunting brands at PRADCO Outdoor Brands, a division of EBSCO

In her free time, Hannah’s a solo traveler. She loves to get out of her comfort zone and see how beautiful the world is.

Originally adopted from Korea, she’s also very close to her family, which includes four brothers.

Her professional journey reads like an adventurer’s travelogue: 11 years at NASCAR, where she got to meet Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (among others), followed by her current job in the hunting industry.

“I like to understand other people’s hobbies and their perspectives on life. I want to know why they love to go to an event.

I also want to understand why they love a hunting product and how it will help them have a good time.”

Exploring different worlds through marketing

From NASCAR to PRADCO Outdoor Brands. (Hannah Kinderknecht)

One of Hannah’s favorite parts about working in marketing is immersing herself in products or events. She did this at NASCAR, and now she’s doing it at PRADCO.

When she first arrived at PRADCO three years ago, she made an effort to get out with the team.

Her goal: to learn why so many people love hunting—a sport she had not grown up with.

She also wanted to see how their products worked in the field.

In her role, she oversees everything from retail packaging at Bass Pro Shops to digital campaigns on Instagram or Facebook.

She also works with partnerships, aligning PRADCO’s products with influencers who can endorse and help sell them.

Hannah is a big fan of how EBSCO gets everyone in the company involved.

EBSCO has many divisions like hunting, insurance, databases and more, but trainings and community activities bring people together.

“I didn’t know about hunting, but I definitely have a passion for learning about it.

I love the culture, my day-to-day, the team and everybody who works here.”
