NEW Speedway travel center opens on Finley Boulevard

A new all-purpose travel center has opened at the busy Finley Boulevard exit off I-65 in Birmingham.
Speedway, one of the nation’s largest convenience store chains, began operating on Sept. 11 at 1617 Finley Boulevard.
The store is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Speedway gas and amenities
Along with inexpensive gas (regular was $2.49 on September 25th, about 20+ cents less than most Bham C-stores), the new spot offers a wide range of amenities including:
- Fresh fruit
- 4 kinds of whole pizzas
- Wings
- Breakfast sandwiches & coffees
- Daily fresh-baked cookies and pastries
- Beer Cave
According to a manager, the store will hold its grand opening on October 3rd.
