Loved on + off the race track
Jimmie Johnson is a seven-time NASCAR Champion born and raised in California.
In addition to his lifelong love for racing, he has always possessed a deep passion for philanthropy.
Out of a mission to help children, families and communities in need, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation was born.
What is the Jimmie Johnson Foundation?
Jimmie and his wife Chandra officially launched the Jimmie Johnson Foundation back in 2006.
The foundation primarily helps fund K-12 public education systems. The grants they provide go towards improving academic areas like science, technology, literacy, health and the arts.
In just under 20 years, they have donated over $13 million, improving schools across the country.
Healthy food for a happy cause
We stopped by Chopt to give Jimmie’s salad a try, and let me just say, it was worth every penny.
This yummy bowl is packed with grilled chicken, avocado, corn, tomatoes, croutons and creamy caesar dressing.
Giving back by eating a good meal is something Bham Now can fully get behind.
Get the Jimmie Johnson Kale Caesar Salad at Chopt Creative Salad Co. by October 9 to help make a difference.
