Gail loves spending her days close to family
Gail is a Birmingham native who loves finding new restaurants around The Magic City and spending time with her grandkids.
Recently, she realized she wanted the benefits of her own space, but without the hassle of owning a home.

The first thing I look at in any apartment community is amenities like the gym or pool. This was true for Gail, too.
“I picked this building intentionally because of the amenities.
The clubhouse offers a place where you can have gatherings. The gym helps me keep up my health. And of course, you have the beauty of the pool.”

Also top of mind for Gail is how kind the staff is—which was the reason she chose The Whitby as her home in the first place.
“The staff is very professional and friendly. I can’t say enough nice things about them—they’re knowledgeable, kind and always very accommodating.”

Christovia + Johanna feel like The Whitby is “too good to be true”
Christovia and Johanna moved to Birmingham two years ago from Gulf Shores. As a Business Account Executive and Sales Trainer for Charter, the couple came to The Magic City for career opportunities.
When they’re not gazing over The Whitby’s Sky Lounge, Christovia and Johanna are staying active at Oak Mountain, Moss Rock and other local hiking spots.
The couple decided to downsize for their next home and each made a list of what they were looking for. Eventually, the two stumbled upon apartment communities.

They also have an adorable pup who goes by Sir Dulce. Don’t worry—they let me know he’s fitting into the opulent apartment lifestyle very nicely. With such a noble name, how could he not?
“When I think about having an elevated experience, convenience is what I think about. My favorite grocery store, my dentist and the puppy’s veterinarian are all right there.”

Michael + Andrea haven’t met a neighbor they didn’t love
Michael and Andrea came from another upscale apartment and decided the only way they were going to move was if there was a better quality of life.
Lo and behold, The Whitby offered it.
The couple dubbed Notting Hill—a huge green space and hammock garden—as their favorite part.
“It’s simply stunning. It’s peaceful and transports you to a different world. You almost don’t feel like you’re in Alabama anymore.”

Michael spends his free time in the gym—saying that out of four years of renting, The Whitby has the nicest gym of any apartment community he’s lived in.
Plus, his and Andrea’s dachshund Beanie loves to sunbathe on the patio while overlooking the action out at the pool.
