Reading time: 2 minutes
Every year, the financial publication American Banker releases a list of the top 20 banks in the nation, ranked by reputation and customer satisfaction.
Among their top banks of 2024 is Birmingham-headquartered Regions Bank, which ranked at a stellar #2 in the U.S.
Keep reading to find out what makes Regions one of the most trusted banks nationwide.
Regions Bank named #2 in the U.S.
American Banker’s scores are based on four key factors: trust, respect, admiration, and positive feelings. These scores reflect a sense of strong leadership, good management, ethical practices, inclusivity and sustainability.
According to their data, Regions experienced a significant boost in reputation this year with its score increasing by almost 10% from 2023.
One reason for this may be that Regions actually has a dedicated reputation department—a team that works to identify reputation risks and strengthen their corporate culture.
“While I’m very pleased about Regions’ placement in this list, I’m even more proud of our teams whose hard work and dedication make an incredible impact on our customers, clients and community members every day.
Our associates are the foundation that our reputation is built on.”
John Turner, President and CEO, Regions Bank
Regions has a significant presence in our community, with 42 branches in the Birmingham area and 221 statewide.
They’ve also earned national recognition, being named the ‘#1 Top Regional Bank’ by J.D. Power earlier this year.
