The prestigious PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Pendelton Whisky Velocity Tour is coming back to Birmingham after an eight-year absence.

PBR announced the 2025 competition schedule on September 9. The tour will visit 31 cities across 22 states, including Portland, Oregon, Denver, Colorado and Greenville, South Carolina.

The Magic City tour date at Legacy Arena is set for January 4, 2025.

Fast growing sport

Professional Bull Riding is a fast-growing sport. According to PBR, their Velocity Tour broke numerous attendance records and attracted 356,000 fans. They sold out 20 event days nationwide.

Over the past year, several local sports complexes including the Pelham Civic Center and Ice Arena and the Hoover Met have held local rodeos featuring bull riding.

Tickets will go on sale soon. Follow PBR and the BJCC for an announcement on the sale.
