The countdown to showtime begins
This show-stopping season opener, directed by Jan Hunter, stars Birmingham theatre royalty, Kristi Tingle Higginbotham.
Kristi’s love for musical theater originally took root at Mountain Brook High School. She later made history by becoming the first student to earn a musical theater degree at Birmingham-Southern College.
“I first performed in The World Goes ‘Round back in 1994. In fact, that was the production where I met my dear friend, Jan Hunter, who is now directing the 2024 production.”

A venue that has stood the test of time
The Virginia Samford Theatre has been a cherished destination for theatre enthusiasts since 1927. Today, it remains a vibrant hub where lovers of the arts can come together and celebrate.
They’ll be hosting this and many more exciting performances this year, including A VST STARS production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in October.
“I love the history I have with that building. When I walk in the door it just feels like home to me. And it’s a wonderful feeling every time I get to perform there.”
