Vocelli’s Pizza, a beloved local pizzeria with deep roots in the community, is thrilled to announce its grand opening, now conveniently located just steps away from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

The Vocelli story

The story of this pizza company begins in a small mining town in Zonguldax, Turkey, where founder Varol Ablak was born.

While his dad, a mining engineer, moved from city to city, Varol explored his love of engineering and marketing. Soon after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he answered the call to start his own business.

Thus, Vocelli Pizza was born. Varol saw the opportunity to grow as a business and began opening businesses around the U.S. Today, Vocelli has around 200 stores open and in development.

BBQ chicken: sweet barbecue sauce, grilled chicken, crispy bacon and red onions
