1. ecobrew

What if we could save the world one beer at a time? ecobrew believe it’s possible.

The company works closely with breweries of all sizes to design and install systems that help increase sustainability.

The goal? To help craft breweries reduce their carbon emissions and save money through carbon capture technology.

Fun fact: ecobrew is one of 10 regional startups participating in the Startup World Cup.

2. Shipshape Urban Farms

In 2017, Shipshape introduced modular hydroponic farms within a single shipping container. Seeing the potential of the single shipping container model, company founders Dale and Angela Speetjens created a business plan addressing broader food security concerns.

The result? Shipshape is now an “agritech” company that creates local zero-waste food networks in urban areas, like Birmingham.
