FirstBank is the anchor tenant at the Financial Center (First Bank)

Nashville-based FirstBank has opened its third full-service branch in Birmingham Metro.

The new branch is located in downtown Birmingham on the ground floor of FirstBank’s regional headquarters at 505 20th Street, Birmingham.

Today, August 26, FirstBank will hold an official ribbon-cutting event commemorating the downtown branch in partnership with the Birmingham Business Alliance and Daniel Corporation.

Grimaldi’s, a popular coal-fired brick oven pizzeria, is set to open this week. Here you can find a variety of fresh and gooey pizzas baked to perfection.

BASECOAT at Lane Parke, a new luxurious nail care and spa, is coming to Mountain Brook and is the perfect place to bring your besties!

This new spa will offer high-quality manicures, pedicures and spa treatments!

D-BAT | Gardendale

A new baseball and softball training facility is coming to Gardendale.

Due to the increasing popularity of sports, especially baseball, parents have begun hiring private coaches. Thanks to this new facility, you can get hands-on training around the clock.

Big Whiskey’s | 280 + Alabaster

What once was an O’Charley’s just off the interstate in Alabaster is now making way to become Big Whiskey’s, an American-styled restaurant and bar.

Currently, there is a Bog Whiskey’s in Hoover and construction is underway at Tattersall Park, just off of highway 280. More details on the address and restaurant hours coming soon.

After an eight-year hiatus, beloved local pizza joint Rocky’s Pizza and Italian Foods is reopening in Birmingham!

Originally founded in 1986 Rocky’s Pizza and Italian Foods was the place to get a slice of specialty pizza named after iconic boxers. Unfortunately, the pizza joint closed in 2016 and Dennis Dunlap, the owner, passed away shortly after.

Now, they are excited to re-open the once-legendary pizza parlor and share their new and improved recipes with Birmingham.
