From viral Walmart yodeler to rising country music star

Ramsey grew up in Golconda, Illinois, where his grandpa introduced him to the music of Hank Williams Sr., Elvis and Roy Orbison. These iconic artists shaped Ramsey’s reminiscent, soulful sound today.

As a child, Ramsey performed at small venues, including his local Walmart, where he eventually gained millions of views on a video of him yodeling “Lovesick Blues” by Hank Williams Sr.

Ramsey quickly became an internet sensation and was signed to Big Loud Records at the age of 11. The big star in a little package was soon featured on Ellen, performed at The Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium and the Grammy Awards.

He even sang with Billy Ray Cyrus and Young Thug on a remix of the hit single “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X.

Recently, Ramsey performed his song “Blue Over You” with superstar Lana Del Rey at Fenway Park.

“My life went from zero to a million. It has been an amazing rollercoaster and I am so thankful for all of the support I’ve gotten. My grandpa always dreamed of watching me perform, especially at The Grand Ole Opry, and now I’ve fulfilled that dream for him.”

Passionate plans for the future

According to Ramsey, he continues to find inspiration in the artists he loves and trips to Nashville with his producer, Dan Fernandez.

Although he looks forward to releasing new music and touring, he mainly wishes to keep living in the moment and making his fans happy.

“I want to keep putting smiles on people’s faces. I want to be there for my fans, and I hope I help them as much as they’ve helped me. I want to thank my fans for supporting me and streaming my music. I can do what I love because of them.”
