Ever wondered what happens to items returned to Amazon? A new store opening in Bessemer answers that question.

Thanks to a revolutionary retail concept, shoppers can buy top-brand items at a fraction of the cost.

Grand opening of Bin Depot

On Friday, August 9, the Fresh Value Group is holding the grand opening of Bin Depot at 700 19th St. North, Bessemer.

According to Sarah Wagner, a spokesperson for the Bin Depot and Fresh Value Group, we should think of the new site as an Amazon return store.

The former grocery store is filled with Amazon returns (and sometimes items from other retail stores) loaded up in bins.

How the pricing works

Now here is the jaw-dropping news — the pricing. Here is how it works.

Bin Depot will feature a unique pricing model where items are priced by the day and get cheaper throughout the week.

Starting every Friday, everything in the store will be priced at $14, with prices dropping daily.

On Thursday all remaining items are just 50¢ or $10 for everything you can put in a bag.

Pretty cool for the adventurous deal-finding shopper.

Why Bin Depot makes a difference

The Bin store has something for everyone. Items include:

  • Electronics
  • Electronics
  • Home goods
  • Clothing
  • Toys

New items are added regularly every week.

Wagner sums up why a place like the Bin Store matters.

“It goes back to our mission of bringing affordable prices to communities in Birmingham and Alabama. Things are really expensive right now with inflation. We’re in a crisis, where people can’t afford household items. Having pallets of things like diapers that are super affordable and being can bring that to the community is important.”
