Who is Kathryn Romanchuk?
Romanchuk is a realtor with RealtySouth Crestline and has been in the realty industry since 2017.
Romanchuk is also known for her “Roving Realtor” videos online, where she visits Birmingham houses and hotspots while entertaining viewers with her own spin on karaoke.
“I’ve been singing since I was a little girl, so I love to be on stage. I got this wild idea to do something called the “Roving Realtor,” where I take songs and I change the words to make it industry specific.”

How did she become a host?
“The American Dream” is a national show where local real-estate professionals are chosen to be hosts. The show educates viewers on the lifestyles of communities across the country.
After seeing Romanchuk’s entertaining “Roving Realtor” videos, staff of “The American Dream” reached out to her via email about the hosting opportunity. Now, Romanchuk represents RealtySouth on the show.
During Romanchuk’s first episode, she highlighted places in Birmingham like Homewood, Vestavia Hills and Mountain Brook.
“I am doing this because I love Birmingham. I want to show people what makes Birmingham great, like the people, the communities, the lifestyles, the programs, the shopping and everything else.”

The future of Birmingham on “The American Dream”
Romanchuk has many exciting episodes planned for the future, including:
- Fishing, foraging + fast cars, airing in August
- Horses, Humans + Hope, airing in October
“I am excited to be working with Special Equestrians. They help children and others with cognitive challenges through equine therapy. Filming this episode has been an exhilarating experience because I get to talk about the community, people and things I love.”
