I get a craving for Birmingham fried chicken about once a week, so this guide is a dream to make. Chicken is a big business in The Magic City and we take it seriously.

Exotic Wings and Things’ having three locations means more fried chicken to go around.

With over 70 items on their menu, there’s not much you can miss. Get the Exotic Buffalo wings and thank me later.

Wings R King

At Wings R King, you can order up to 100 pieces and the wings come slathered in a variety of sauces, such as:

As one of my favorite spots around town, Eugene’s is known for quality service and food.

My pick is the jumbo tenders… but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Birmingham Wings & Waffles

Wings and waffles? What more could you ask for? Pay this local spot a visit and try out their namesake combo.

Wings Heaven

The Birmingham fried chicken scene is a whole lot sweeter with Wings Heaven.

Stop by and get their cajun ranch wings, but don’t blame me when you keep coming back for more.

Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

Hailing from Tennessee, Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is, well, famous.

And for good reason, too. Dig into the juicy and flavorful fried goodness today.

J Wings has over 30 flavors of wings, so there’s something for everyone.

For the lemon pepper and garlic fans, order your wings with “Swag” sauce.

Green Acres

Since 1958, Green Acres has served the Greater Birmingham area with delicious, southern food.

Visit Green Acres in Ensley and get your chicken all the way—they’ll put ketchup, hot sauce and salt and pepper on top.

Craft’s

Another one of my favorite spots in town for chicken—Craft’s!

The hot honey chicken bites with a Frose is one of my favorite meals. Stop by their downtown Birmingham or Mountain Brook location and try it for yourself.
