Australia comes to Alabama
Approximately 60 youth players, coaches and parents visited the Birmingham Zoo yesterday.
The zoo wanted the Australian youth teams to feel at home, so they welcomed the international guests to visit some Australian animals and learn about conservation.
Australian Ambassador Animals
The visiting athletes first interacted with the zoo’s Australian Ambassador Animals, including the:
- Blue-tongued Skink
- Australian Green Tree Frog
- Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
- Woma Python
After meeting the ambassador animals, the guests fed the Australian Rainbow Lorikeets before continuing their zoo tour.
