National venture capital firm gener8tor and Birmingham-based nonprofit/early-stage venture firm Bronze Valley are no strangers to collaboration.

In 2023, the two organizations teamed up to launch the Bronze Valley Investment Accelerator—an investment-for-equity accelerator focused on investing in and supporting underrepresented startup founders.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Bronze Valley to amplify the impact that startups can have on the state of Alabama through this new space.

At gener8tor, we recognize the importance of cross collaboration. Tech Row will provide a great space for accelerator program participants and alumni to work alongside one another.”

Apparently, the duo made such a good team that they’ve worked together again to build a dynamic new convening space for startups in The Magic City.

“The partnership between Bronze Valley and gener8tor represents a tremendous contribution to innovation and the growth of new business and economic opportunity in Birmingham and beyond.

This will increase our ability to deliver impact as we continue to support entrepreneurs and help define the future of technology-focused ecosystems in our region and across the country.”

Located in the annex previously occupied by Landing, Tech Row offers more than just flexible workspace for its occupants.

Tech Row will provide high-quality, tailored programming and other services for gener8tor’s eight Alabama accelerator programs as well as support for founders relocating from other markets for short- or long-term periods.

“My company, Etch, was honored to be part of gener8tor’s gBETA Huntsville program through RCP, and we’ve been making the most of the fantastic Tech Row space.

This cutting-edge resource, new to Birmingham, has been a wonderful asset for us to connect with other founders and stay plugged into the ecosystem, and we’re confident it will be a tremendous advantage for gener8tor startups and the broader community.”

Sean Haskell, Founder, Etch

In addition, gener8tor’s platform team will host two Alabama Lightning Rounds each year to encourage investor engagement.

Not familiar with Alabama Lightning Rounds? Think of it as “speed dating” for investors and startups from Alabama.
