Birmingham-Southern College estate auction and sale are now online

Hanna Estate Services is holding an online sale and auction of several cherished Birmingham-Southern College items. 

The beloved 168-year-old school closed May 31st.

Here are the details.

Auction: Statues and memorabilia 

Hanna Antiques, the parent company of Hanna Estate Services, is one of the oldest and largest antique malls in Birmingham. They are renowned and respected locally for handling estate sales.

On June 14th, Hanna began an online auction of several iconic items from the school grounds and property, including:

  • Birmingham-Southern College Bell
  • Panther statues that were at the entrance of the baseball field and basketball auditorium
  • Vulcan on Parade statute
  • Spitz Planetarium projector
  • Sports memorabilia 

The 10-day auction ends on June 23st at 9:00PM.

Sale: From pianos to anatomical equipment

In addition to the auction, Hanna is selling thousands of items from the school ranging from a 15,000+ record collection (some of these items were sold this weekend) to musical instruments and lab equipment.

A partial list includes:

  • Indoor and outdoor furnishings 
  • Musical instruments
  • Pianos
  • Adirondack chairs
  • 1000s of choral sheet music packets
  • Anatomical models

If you are looking to buy and then donate items, many of the items from the sale may be useful for local schools, churches and music departments.

The online Hanna estate sale begins on June 21st at 7:00PM and ends June 23rd at 11:00PM.
