Huge news! Today, Coca-Cola Bottling Company United Inc. (UNITED) announced plans to construct a new Coca-Cola facility in Birmingham’s Kingston community. Coca-Cola UNITED is investing $330 million in the project and anticipates creating up to 50 new jobs in The Magic City.

A new Coca-Cola UNITED facility for Birmingham

Back in 2013, Coca-Cola UNITED purchased the former Stockham Valves and Fittings site located at 1101 40th Street North in hopes of one day opening a new facility.

Now, that dream is becoming reality.

“For over 120 years, Coca-Cola UNITED has been a stand-out member of Birmingham’s business community, so it’s wonderful to see this world-class company make another major investment to build a new headquarters facility in the Magic City.

Coca-Cola UNITED’s landmark growth project will create new jobs in its home base in Birmingham while also solidifying the company’s foundation in the city for decades to come – and that’s great news for all of Alabama!”

Governor Kay Ivey

Located in the Birmingham neighborhood of Kingston, the new facility will be the second Birmingham-area location for Cola-Cola UNITED.
