Christina and Tom Saab, owners of Bocca Ristorante and Bistro 218 in downtown Birmingham, received liquor license approval today from the Birmingham City Council for a new exciting concept called Sloan’s.

The details

The new location is at the former Pale Eddie’s Pour House at 2308 2nd Avenue North.

Bham Now has learned Sloan’s will serve high-end whiskies, bourbon, spirits and a wide selection of wines.

The spot will also have a “cold kitchen” serving many kinds of charcuterie boards and finger foods.

Along with Saabs’ fine dining establishments, Birmingham’s 2nd Ave North is a foodie paradise. Additional restaurants on this popular street include:

  • Yo’ Mama’s
  • Frothy Monkey
  • El Barrio
  • Bamboo on Second
  • Helen
  • La Fresca
  • EastWest

Sloan’s expects to open Summer 2024.
