Pet Haven is owned by Larry Holcomb, a local businessman who also owns Ice Haven—a 24/7 self-service ice-making operation adjacent to the new pet wash.

The new pet wash is Alabama’s third “All Paws Pet Wash” franchise. The other two are in Huntsville and Troy.

The new service in the Birmingham area officially opens the week of May 20th.

How does a pet wash work?

If you’ve ever used a self-service car wash, you’ll feel right at home at Pet Haven. Open 24/7, you can give several kinds of baths to your pet, including:

  • Oat Shampoo
  • Tearless Shampoo
  • Flea & Tick
  • Pet Deodorizer
  • Conditioner
  • Rinse

Once the bath is complete you can use vacuums and dryers to make your pet look brand new.

In addition to the bathing and drying items, the location provides a waterproof apron for the pet owner so they don’t get wet. And of course, disinfectant to use when you are finished.

The cost of a wash and the app

$15 gets you 20 minutes to complete the job. Holcomb encourages folks to visit the All Paws Pet Wash website and download their app. The program will help schedule, pay and save money on the washes.

Last item, which is perhaps the most important, Pet Haven has treats for your dog or pet at $2!
