Happy Monday, Birmingham! From coffee shops to day spas, there are all kinds of new businesses popping up across The Magic City.

Keep reading for a roundup of three new openings and a sneak peek at a few spots that are coming soon.

1. Frida’s Cocina & Cantina | English Village

Frida’s Cocina & Cantina is a new upscale Tex-Mex restaurant celebrating its grand opening May 13. Located at the former Civitas location on the corner of Cahaba Road and Fairway Drive, Frida’s offers a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes like fajitas, enchiladas, carnitas and ceviche.

2. Hit Different BBQ & Grill | Pelham

This new barbecue joint in Pelham just… hits different! A family-owned restaurant and food truck operation, Hit Different BBQ & Grill specializes in Southern comfort food, melt-in-your-mouth meats and all the fixin’s.

Serving classics like pulled pork, smoked gouda mac n’ cheese and rich collard greens, make sure to swing by the new storefront on Pelham Parkway and give it a taste.

3. Mockingbird Day Spa | Trussville

Need to relax and unwind? Look no further than Trussville’s newest hot spot, Mockingbird Day Spa. Alongside spa rituals like massages and facials, Mockingbird also offers cosmetic services like spray tans, waxing and brow tints.

4. Bandido Coffee | Five Points

A new coffee shop is coming to Five Points. Located in the former location of Panache, Bandido Coffee is the latest venture of local entrepreneur Raul Chavez. Chavez is the founder and owner of Fade Parlor, a barber shop brand with three locations across Birmingham.

His newest project, Bandido Coffee, will be an edgier, more unique coffee bar that will bring a dive-bar twist to the local coffee shop scene. He also plans to offer coffee drinks inspired by Latin culture.

5. J. Crew Factory | Cahaba Village

A new retail store, J. Crew Factory is coming soon to Cahaba Village next to Mountain High Outfitters. Unlike a regular J. Crew store, J. Crew Factory is an outlet where you can find lower priced designs for men, women and kids.

6. Pet Haven | Fultondale
