Big news for an exciting Birmingham startup. Earlier today, the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA) announced that local startup Acclinate recently raised a whopping $7M in Series A funding.

Founded in 2020 by Tiffany Whitlow and Del Smith, Acclinate is a healthcare tech company working to grow inclusivity in healthcare research. Acclinate’s mission is simple: encourage diversity in clinical trials and empower minorities to make informed decisions about clinical trial participation.

That same year, Accliante relocated its corporate headquarters from Huntsville to Birmingham. Now, Acclinate is a tenant at The Denham Building in Parkside.

According to a recent press release from the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA), Acclinate raised $7M in a recent Series A funding round.

With the backing of prominent healthcare organizations like Cencora and Labcorp, we are poised to accelerate tangible change in the healthcare industry and empower diverse communities to proactively manage their health.”

The funding round—led by Cencora Ventures with notable contributions from Labcorp and Latimer Ventures—will allow Accliante to grow its impact in clinical trial diversity and health equity.
