Since the tournament’s creation in 1992, giving back has been a core principle of the Regions Tradition. In fact, the tournament has raised over $21M for local charities over its 32-year history.

The primary beneficiary of the Regions Tradition is Children’s of Alabama, a world-renowned pediatric medical center in Birmingham that has provided care for children from every corner of Alabama and 46 other states.

In addition to Children’s of Alabama, the Regions Tradition supports:

  • Birdies for Charity, a fundraising program that helps 501(c)3 charities and schools raise funds through flat donations and per-birdie pledges based on the number of birdies made by PGA TOUR Champions players during the Regions Tradition competitive rounds.
  • The Mike Slive Foundation, which offered free PSA blood test screening on-site during the Regions Tradition to help attendees screen for prostate cancer.
