3. Academy Sports + Outdoors | HWY 280

According to recent signage at River Ridge Shopping Center on Highway 280, a new Academy Sports + Outdoors location is coming soon. Located in the former home of Best Buy, the store is now under construction.

4. Cookie Fix | Brock’s Gap

A local favorite, Cookie Fix, is opening its fourth Birmingham-area location on April 17 at The Village at Brock’s Gap.

Founded by Birmingham native Amy Jason, the shop is known for its fresh-based and frozen to-go cookies.
