Want to see a 2nd Championship banner unfurled at Protective Stadium? On Saturday night, you get an opportunity to do just that when our beloved Birmingham Stallions return for the first time to Birmingham since winning their second USFL championship in July.

The Stallions have not “Skipped” a beat — that’s for you Coach Skip Holtz! — opening the 2024 campaign by defeating the XFL Champion Arlington Renegades and the pesky Michigan Panthers from Detroit.

The weather forecast for Saturday is 70 degrees and sunny skies at kickoff, perfect football weather. The Stallions opponent — the Memphis Showboats from up the road on I-22.

Let’s welcome back the champs by packing Protective like it’s a Garth Brooks concert. Giddy up!

Tickets start at $10.

Birmingham Bulls Playoff Game — Saturday, April 13, 7:05PM at Pelham Civic Center

As we reported earlier this week, the Birmingham Bulls won its first league title in franchise history this month.

Unfortunately, the Evansville Thunderbolts, the Bull’s first-round playoff opponent were unimpressed. On Thursday night, they tied up the three-game series with a 2-1 overtime win.

That means the deciding game will now be played at the Pelham Civic Center on Saturday night.

Playoff hockey is always unpredictable. A hot goalkeeper can spoil even the best teams’ championship dreams. But one of the reasons you want to win the league is to ensure home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

Time for the fans to provide the Bulls a “6th skater”! Tickets are available on the Bulls website.

Birmingham Barons – Jackie Robinson Day – April 16, 7:00PM at Regions Field

Every April 16th, Jackie Robinson Day is celebrated throughout  Major League Baseball and minor leagues. The Barons will wear the number 42 at this special game, as will every player throughout pro baseball on this day.

The game on Tuesday opens a 6-game series against Mississippi.

Birmingham Legion FC — U.S. Open – April 17, 7:00PM at the University of Montevallo

Legion Brigade
Birmingham vs Charlotte – May 24,2023 (Bham Now)

Remember last year’s Legion FC U.S. Open Championship run? Before they got to play MLS teams, they had to win the early-round games. This week, the Three Sparks are opening the tournament against the Chattanooga Red Wolves.

Since the UFL  Stallions have two games on the 13th and 20th, which means football stripes all over the turf, the Legion is playing their Open game at Montevallo.

The journey for the Cup starts Wednesday, April 17th. Secure your tickets today.

Which game do you plan to attend this week? Stallion, Bulls, Barons or Legion?
