Soon, you’ll be able to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts at your local McDonald’s

Soon, you’ll be able to grab your morning coffee, McMuffin and a tasty Krispy Kreme doughnut all in one swoop.

In a recent press release, Krispy Kreme announced plans to provide fresh doughnuts to be sold daily at McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. The partnership will begin in late 2024, with nationwide availability expected by 2026.

What to expect

As two of the most famous breakfast chains in the country, McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme are a match made in drive-thru heaven.

Krispy Kreme’s three most popular flavors will be delivered to McDonald’s locations daily—beginning at breakfast, the doughnuts will be sold all day or until they sell out.

The three flavors are:

• Original Glazed
• Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles
• Chocolate Iced Kreme-Filled

Doughnuts will be sold individually or in boxes of six.

Krispy Kreme to be sold at McDonald’s nationwide by 2026

According to the announcement, the nationwide partnership resulted from a successful test run at 160 McDonald’s restaurants in the Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky areas where consumer excitement and demand exceeded expectations.

“Since the launch of breakfast nearly 50 years ago, we’ve continued to offer new menu items, flavors and experiences that have made McDonald’s an irreplaceable part of fans’ morning routines. This partnership is an exciting next step in that journey and a chance to unlock new business opportunities in the breakfast category and throughout the day.”

Keep an eye out for Krispy Kreme doughnuts at McDonald’s across Birmingham

So, when can we expect to see Krispy Kreme doughnuts at McDonald’s restaurants in Birmingham? McDonald’s will begin a phased roll-out during late 2024, with plans to complete the national expansion by the end of 2026.

Alabama is home to nearly 300 McDonald’s locations statewide, so make sure to keep an eye out for Krispy Kreme doughnuts at a McDonald’s near you.
