Birmingham’s Crestwood Festival Shopping Center is adding three new tenants, including a massive family entertainment center at the former Edge Theater location.

Yesterday, NAI Chase Commercial Realty announced it has signed four new leases totaling over 142,000 SF at Crestwood Festival Shopping Center on behalf of owners Citywide Properties LLC & V&S LLC Shopping Center Development.

Centerpiece of the Crestwood Festival Center

Crestwood Festival Center was opened in 1989, with a cinema as one of the main centerpieces. However, The Edge—one of Birmingham’s first dine-in theaters—closed in April 2023.

According to NAI Chase Commercial, Realty Fun City Adventure—a family entertainment center—will replace The Edge.

What kind of family-friendly activities are coming to Crestwood?

  • Trampoline center
  • Bumper car rides
  • Go Carts
  • Virtual Reality gaming
  • Laser Tag
  • Bowling
  • Roller skating.

The group has signed a 15-year lease, so they are here to stay!

Antique Marketplace & Gym coming

In addition to Fun City, NAI Chase also signed:

Crestwood Pickers Antique Mall & Marketplace will occupy 69,082 SF when Burlington Coat Factory vacates the space at the end of February.

Armor Gym, a 24-hour fitness center, has leased a 17,690 SF space that was previously home to the Eplex. Armor Gym will also open next month.

“We are very happy to welcome all of the new tenants to Crestwood Festival. The Center will now be 90% leased, with solid tenants.”
