Legion FC v. Atlanta United game moved to 4:00PM on Saturday + new kit unveiled [PHOTOS]
Reading time: 1 minute
The preseason matchup between our hometown Birmingham Legion FC versus Major League Soccer (MLS) powerhouse Atlanta United has been moved from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Protective Stadium.
The Legion made the change Friday morning to avoid a line of storms that are expected to hit Birmingham around Saturday morning and early Saturday afternoon.
The January 27 friendly will open Legion’s sixth season in the USL Championship. Standouts Enzo Martinez, Alex Crognale, Phanuel Kavita, Mikey Lopez and Matt VanOekel are returning for the 2024 campaign.
New Legion FC kit
Along with the matchup against our neighbor from Georgia, the Legion will unveil its newest “kit.” Called “Lady Electra” the Hummel jersey is much different than the Three Sparks’ traditional black, red and white shirts.
Check it out.
