Newcastle Homes, a developer headquartered in Pelham, has proposed a new home subdivision development in Shelby County. Read on for more details.

A new subdivision planned for Shelby County

During an August 2023 meeting of the Shelby County Planning Commission, local developer Newcastle Homes requested approval to divide a 25.6-acre plot into 61 residential lots and four common areas for a new subdivision dubbed Isaac’s Gap — Phase 1. The plot is located behind Shadywood Circle and Brasher’s Chapel Church on Highway 43 in Sterrett, AL.

The request was approved by the Shelby County Planning Commission on a 5-to-1 vote.
