On Monday, January 15, we honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s fight for justice and freedom for all. As we celebrate, here’s what’s will be open and closed this MLK Day.

Here’s what’s closed on MLK Day

MLK Day is a federal holiday, so most federal and government entities will be closed. This includes schools, the US postal service and most major banks.

Local credit unions will likely observe MLK Day as well.

Most retailers will be open for MLK Day. If you’re expecting a FedEx or UPS package, you are in luck—packages will be delivered as usual. Most grocery stores and drug stores will be open as well.
