Encore Thrift Shop in Homewood will celebrate grand re-opening February 1

Assistance League of Birmingham announced that they will be re-opening Encore Thrift Shop, a community thrift store whose proceeds benefit Birmingham area public schools.

The newly renovated shop, which boasts a refreshed interior and new merchandise, will celebrate its grand re-opening February 1.

Assistance League of Birmingham’s local impact

Encore Thrift Shop is run by the Assistance League of Birmingham and is operated by volunteers.

What does this mean? All proceeds go towards the league’s philanthropic missions—Operation School Bell and Operation Literacy.

Working hand-in-hand to provide K-8 students with resources they need, Operation Literacy supplies books while Operation School Bell supplies students a new wardrobe and hygiene kits.

After undergoing an extensive makeover, Encore Thrift Shop is ready to re-open and continue serving the community. Here’s what you can expect to see at the new-and-improved Encore:

• New customer-friendly features like improved signage + convenient check-out

The grand re-opening will kick-off February 1 at 1PM, featuring a ribbon-cutting, exclusive discounts for early shoppers, prizes and a raffle.
