Brasfield & Gorrie expanding Birmingham headquarters + creating 85 new jobs

Earlier this month, the Birmingham Design Review Committee (DRC) approved a new addition to Brasfield & Gorrie’s Lakeview headquarters that will support 85 new jobs. Read on to get the details.

What to expect from Brasfield & Gorrie’s expansion

During the December 13 meeting of the Birmingham DRC, Brasfield & Gorrie received approval for an office expansion.

According to the Alabama Department of Commerce, the project will add a 28,500-square-foot, three-story building to its Lakeview campus; the addition will allow for the creation of 85 jobs.

In a release, Brasfield & Gorrie stated they expect construction to begin soon, with a completion date targeted for Summer 2025. 

The Department of Commerce added that job creation will take place over five years with positions paying an average annual salary of $74,000.

Exciting news for Birmingham

Brasfield & Gorrie has been based in the Lakeview District of Birmingham since 1964 with its headquarters now housing over 550 employees. They’ve completed many iconic projects, including:

• Grandview Medical Center
• Protective Stadium
• The Pizitz building
