Big news! According to a press release from Buzz4Good, four Birmingham nonprofits have been chosen to be featured on the television show BUZZ and receive a pro bono marketing makeover.

About BUZZ

BUZZ
Michael Hemphill, creator + host. (BUZZ)

BUZZ, launched in 2020, is a public television show based in Virginia also available on YouTube.

The show features the work of nonprofits in our communities and marketing pros who donate their time and talent to help the organizations boost their marketing and attract more donors, volunteers and clients to their cause.

According to a press release, Martin Advertising and Swell Fundraising provide the pro bono marketing “buzz” in the shows.

One of the coolest things about BUZZ is that its creator and host is Birmingham native Michael Hemphill.

According to the press release, Hemphill worked with a team from his alma mater, Birmingham-Southern College, to produce the shows. Funding for the production comes in part from the Mike and Gillian Goodrich Foundation.

“From arts and culture, homelessness, literacy, outdoors recreation, suicide prevention, intellectual disabilities, even college athletics, nonprofits make our communities stronger and richer.

I’m thrilled to be back home and feature the mission of these four incredible nonprofits and provide them with more buzz.”
