Why was Matt King in Birmingham?
This weekend, the YouTube star traded the City of Angels for the Magic City as he married long-time girlfriend and Mountain Brook native Patricia Flach.
The two tied the knot at Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and continued the party with all their friends at The Club.
King marries into Hamburger Heaven family
King happened to marry the daughter of Hamburger Heaven owner Pete Flach. After visiting Birmingham and trying his new family’s restaurant, King raved about their famous sauce on his podcast “Hoot & a Half.”
“It’s delicious, it’s the new ketchup! It’s ketchup 2.0.”

The Vlog Squad in the Magic City
“Vlog Squad” members—Toddy Smith, Zane Hijazi and David Dobrik—had time to explore the city. Shown through social media posts, the squad was spotted at a few of Birmingham favorites including:
- Soho Social
- The Fennec
- House of Found Objects
- Neon Moon
Sadly, the famous David Dobrik was not spotted giving away any Tesla’s any where near the Birmingham area.
Congratulations to the happy couple
