5 places to watch Halloween movies in Birmingham

From horror movies to cult classics, Birmingham is bringing you all the spooks this season by screening tons of Halloween staples this October.

1. Sidewalk Cinema

The legendary Sidewalk Cinemas is showing a variety of Halloween cult classics. Films like Casper (1995) The House of the Devil (2009) Poltergeist(1982) The Others (2001) House AKA Hausu (1977) and Suspiria (1977). These screenings are sure to interest any film enthusiast.

2. Avondale Brewing Company

Avondale is showing not one but TWO double features this month. Both showings are family-friendly, so feel free to bring the whole gang.

  • Haunted Mansion – 10/19 | 6PM
  • Nightmare Before Christmas – 10/19 | 8PM
  • Hocus Pocus – 10/26 | 6PM
  • Beetlejuice – 10/26 | 8PM

3. TrimTab Brewing

TrimTab has an array of Halloween movies they are showing through out the entire month all the way through Halloween. Some of these classics include:

  • Labyrinth – 10/24
  • Beetlejuice – 10/26

4. Grand River Drive-in

Watching a scary movie under the stars is the vibe.

This weekend, Grand River Drive-In is celebrating with a few spook-tacular movies. If you come to these screenings in costume you get free round of golf for their mini golf course, The Backyard.

5. Alabama Theatre

If you are looking for something a bit more kid friendly, Alabama Theatre is also having a showing of Hocus Pocus on October 26 and October 28.
